TheMEZUS 510is a dynamic precision calibrator designed for the verification and adjustment of air quality analyzers. It employsMass Flow Controllers (MFCs)of high accuracy to mix high concentration calibration gases with zero air, generating reliable on-site calibration standards. Its ability to performGas Phase Titration (GPT)makes it indispensable for determining the efficiency of NO₂ converters and calibrating Ozone analyzers, strictly complying with the quality assurance (QA/QC) requirements of the US EPA and ISO standards.

What is Gas Phase Titration (GPT) and what is it used for? 

GPT is an advanced method that uses the MEZUS 510 to generate precise concentrations of NO₂. The equipment mixes a known amount of NO with internally generated ozone. The chemical reaction produces NO₂, allowing for the calibration of the efficiency of the NOx analyzers' converter without the need to purchase unstable NO₂ cylinders.

How many gas cylinders can I connect simultaneously? 

The equipment comes standard with4 input portsfor source gases (e.g., SO₂, CO, NO, Propane). The software allows you to select which valve to open to create the mixture, enabling the calibration of an entire monitoring station sequentially without disconnecting hoses.

Do I need an external zero air generator? 

Yes. To perform the dilution, the MEZUS 510 requires a constant source of clean, dry air. It is recommended to use theMEZUS 520 Zero Air Generator, which is designed to integrate perfectly and provide the necessary flow and purity for high-precision mixtures.
